Buse Savaşkan broke the Turkish Indoor Record by jumping 1.91 in Germany!
Our national athlete Buse Savaşkan, the pride of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, wrote her name in gold letters in the Wuppertaler Hochsprungmeeting 2024 competition held in Wuppertal, Germany. Buse, who came third in the high jump with 1.91 metres in the competition held on 26 January 2024, also overturned the Turkish indoor record with a magnificent 1.91 metres.
For 22 years, Buse Savaşkan has been the new owner of the unbroken women’s high jump indoor Turkish record, and with this great success, she has written her name in history. The record, which previously belonged to Candeğer Kılınçer in 2002 with 1.90 metres, turned into a historical memory with Buse’s outstanding performance.
With her third place and record breaking success in Germany, Buse Savaşkan started a new era for Turkish sports and became a source of pride for both herself and her country.
We congratulate our national athlete Buse Savaşkan and wish her to maintain the same success graph in future victories after this tremendous success. Buse, consolidating her place at the top of the sport, continues to be the pride of Turkey and Northern Cyprus!
