Buse Savaşkan came first in France!
Our national athlete Buse Savaşkan, who is preparing for the 2024 Olympics with the support of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Prime Ministry and the Athletics Federation, achieved a tremendous success at the Athletics Indoor Championships in Hirson, France.
Buse Savaşkan, under the guidance of the famous coach Gennadi Zuiev, shone with the first place in the first race of the year in the ongoing Olympic camp in Portugal with a great degree of 1.85 meters. Leaving her rivals behind in the competition held in France, Buse wrote her name in gold letters.
Other successful athletes in the race were Fatoumata Balley and Yman Ossie. Fatoumata Balley came in second with 1.82 meters and Yman Ossie came in third with 1.79 meters.
The French media organization L’union gave Buse’s first place a wide coverage on its sports page and praised Buse as “Buse has mastered from A to Z”.
After this victory, Buse Savaşkan will concentrate on her preparations for the Balkan Championship and the Turkish Championship. Buse, who will compete in competitions to be held in various countries of Europe, will participate in the championships in Istanbul after her performance in France, Italy and Germany.
