Near East University Started With a Win

Near East University played a superior game against European Leadership University in the MusMer UniLeague Week 1 match played at EMU Lala Mustafa Pasha Sports Hall and won with a score of 70-53. Near East University reached the highest point difference of 20 points with the performance displayed during the match.

In the first part of the game, Near East University made a fast start and managed to make the score 11-23. Only one minute and fifteen seconds later, Near East University took the lead and the score was 3-5. Fode Alhousseine Toure scored a team-high 8 points for European Leadership University, while Bora Altun scored 9 points for Near East University.

In the second part, European Leadership University’s resistance continued but Near East University maintained its advantage. Isiaka Ireitola Saliu contributed with 7 points while Attila Topaloğlu scored 6 points for Near East University. At the end of the quarter, the score was 27-41 in favor of Near East University.

The third quarter ended with a score of 13-13 with the balanced play of both teams. Fode Alhousseine Toure added 6 more points to his team and Aykut Fidansoy of Near East University scored 7 points. Entering the last quarter, the score was 40-54 with Near East University leading the game.

In the fourth and final quarter of the game, European Leadership University’s efforts did not yield any results and Near East University won the game 53-70.

Isiaka Ireitola Saliu of European Leadership University was the leading scorer of the game, scoring 17 points in 39.1 minutes on the court. Fode Alhousseine Toure scored 15 points. Bora Altun and Aykut Fidansoy scored 15 points each and Attila Topaloğlu scored 7 points for Near East University.
